GAPDL’s Tourism Manager Dominique Gleixner attended the Tourism Australia’s Annual Australian Tourism Exchange in Adelaide last month to help sell the Southern Great Barrier Reef (SGBR) to the world!
The Australian Tourism Exchange is Australia’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event. There was over 700 tourism industry buyers from over 30 countries that participated in 4 days of back to back 15 minute appointments! The SGBR had a record contingent this year, with a booth for the three regional tourism organisations and tourism trade mentees, as well as another eight individual SGBR operator booths.
GAPDL would like to extend a special thank you to the Gladstone Region operators who attended this year:
Heron Island – Karen Sweeney
1770reef – Katrina Mergard
1770 LARC! Tours – Amber Rodgers
1770 Sandcastles Resort – Anne McConnachie
Curtis Ferry Services – Adam Balkin
GAPDL would also like to thank Capricorn Enterprise and Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism for the past eight years of collaboration and commitment to putting the SGBR on the map!
