The purpose of this advisory committee is to make strategic recommendations to Council about opportunities that encourage development and attract initiatives that will generate sustainable economic development for the Gladstone Region.
GAPDL is an appointed non-voting member on ISOAC and is actively working with the committee and appointed Consultant on the development of a new Economic Development Strategy (EDS) for the Gladstone Region.
Consultation on the new EDS has involved an open and inclusive stakeholder and community engagement framework and is now well advanced in its development. Current timeframe for release of the strategy is dependent on Council review and formal adoption scheduled for late 2015.
GAPDL will play an active role in the advocacy and implementation of the new strategy as well as delivery of catalysts projects.
